Mark Poeschl CEO, Future Farmers of America (FFA)
Mark Poeschl is Chief Executive Officer of the National FFA Organization and the National FFA Foundation, responsible for operations and long-term success within agricultural education.
Poeschl started at Ralston Purina in 1983 as manager of Dealer Financial Services. In 1987, he joined Carl S. Akey, Inc. serving as chief financial officer, vice president of operations and chief operating officer. In 2000, Provimi Holding BV, a global animal nutrition company, purchased Akey and named Poeschl CEO, president and general manager of newly formed North American Nutrition. He became group vice president for Provimi and relocated to Europe in 2009.
In 2011, Poeschl became vice president, group director, and stakeholder engagement at Cargill Animal Nutrition with key roles in talent selection, career development and business strategies.
Poeschl was the 1978-1979 Nebraska State FFA President and earned a degree in agriculture from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He and his wife, Nancy, have volunteered at the National FFA Convention & Expo and established a scholarship endowment for FFA members.
They have two sons, Nathan and Christopher. Poeschl enjoys family activities, travel, sports, music, reading and automobiles and he assists with the family farm operation in Nebraska.
